Fighting
Throughout the day, at a Helios show,
there are normally many different displays of skill at arms. Swords, axes,
spears and many more different weapons can all be seen in action. |
Archery
At different times during a Helios show our archers, both male and female,
will demonstrate their art. Target and speed shooting are the normal
displays with a brief description of the many arrowheads used in medieval
times. |

Cooking
At a Helios show there are many hungry mouths to feed. Our cooks will be
found preparing a selection of dishes, on an open fire, that were savoured
in times past. Authentic ingredients are used as are recipes and methods
of the time.

As
well as an enjoyable day with Helios we can also provide the following services
: Demonstrations and lectures to groups and organisations e.g., History
Societies. Women's Institute Groups. Fetes and Fairs. We also provide
historical demonstrations at Schools that could be a follow up to a visit to an
historical site or just a stand alone day in school learning about the real life
of history. Key Stages 2 & 3 can be covered.
